The world doesn't need more polished fragmentation.
It needs coherent people, coherent leaders, and coherent cultures.
Through The Five Turns™, Dr. Mitsue Shiokawa helps people and organizations recognize fragmentation, restore connection to what matters, and create meaningful change from the inside out.
Meet Mitsue
Dr. Mitsue Shiokawa
Mitsue Shiokawa is the founder of The Fifth Turn™, creator of The Five Turns™, and author of Unfragmented: The Five Turns from Fragmentation to Coherence.
For more than two decades, she has worked at the intersection of leadership, organizational culture, conflict navigation, education, and human development. Her work explores how people become fragmented, how systems reinforce that fragmentation, and what becomes possible when individuals and institutions begin to act with greater coherence.
A strategist, scholar, mediator, and speaker, Mitsue brings intellectual rigor and lived humanity to the rooms she enters. She does not offer easy answers or surface-level transformation. She helps people see more clearly, speak more honestly, and build the capacity to choose what happens next.

"Coherence begins when we stop abandoning parts of ourselves to remain acceptable inside the systems we hope to change."
